On March 8, 2010. In struggle against the feminización of the poverty!

The feminización of the poverty is alarming. The consequences of the economic crisis in Spain are reverberating especially in the women of the hard-working class, especially the young people and the immigrants, and the situation does not improve. Most of the persons poor and excluded from the society and without coverages we are women. Spain is the paradigm of structural unemployment, being the valuation of feminine unemployment of 19 %. Our labor market is characterized principally by the part-time abuse of the temporality and the hiring, especially for the women, as well as by the wage discrimination, which keeps on supporting concerning 30 %. On the other hand, the low valuation of feminine activity demonstrates that the care keeps on relapsing almost exclusive into the same ones. The decrease of the family budget so much for the precarización of the working conditions, of the unemployment and for the decrease of the real salary, produces very negative effects in the women. The rachitic welfare state does not advance but it steps back. I less budget for the law of dependency, privatization of the public services and clipping of the pensions, what harms especially the women who are those who finally assume the basic familiar works of the life. At the same time we are suffering a political and ideological attack on the rights conquered by the women's movements. The politics for the genre equality receives strong attacks on the part of the political right, the judicial system and the catholic church. There are an example of it, the public declarations of the judge Serrano in against the law of violence of genre, affirming that there are many false denunciations and that this law is a fruit of the “dictatorship of the radical feminism” or those of the Archbishop of Granada against the law of the abortion, comparing it with Hitler's crimes. From the Secretariat of the Woman we show that there is necessary the expansion of the social expense to finish with the inequality. A major public provision of goods and socially essential services: education, health, attention to the dependency, programs of social integration, public housing, transport … fixing like target reaching the levels of social expense of the countries of our environment is the second route for a selective expansion of the demand. It is the example more clearly how the attention to the social needs can be translated in the creation of stable employment and with rights, whenever this one comes from hand of a direct expansion of the sphere of the public sector in the economy. A part not despicable at all of this socially necessary work is realized at present, I conceal after the cloak of the domestic work and, more recently, with the “globalization of the work of care” in charge of immigrant labor for the most part feminine. The transformation of this secret work in socially recognized work places is an imperative in a society with minor genre inequality. For all this it is necessary: • Working day 35h for law, without rights reduction. • Equitable share-out of the work and of the responsibilities between women and men. • Stable employment and with rights. • Wage equality. • Budgetary endowment, application and development of the laws of equality and of dependency. • Municipal politics to do the habitable cities for the women. • Fiscal reform. That pay more those that more they have, for the development of stable public employment for the women. • To abolish the sexual development for law.
